Learn to Crochet $65

Sunday, March 9 and Sunday, March 16, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

This two-day class is for beginners or anyone who wants a refresher on basic crochet skills.

You will learn to: Create basic stitches, increase and decrease, change colors, read patterns, and finish pieces.

You’ll use these skills to create a striped, two-color scarf.

* Materials are not included but can be purchased from Colorful Yarns before or day of class.

Join Lori at the shop the first Friday of every month from 10:30 am-12:30 pm for a Year of Gnomes, a knit-a-long hosted by Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes. We will meet to a make a gnome each month, which can then be entered for prizes on Ravelry. This is a great way to use up mini skeins or leftover scraps. Bring your scraps/mini skeins to trade and share with others. At the end of the year, we will display in the shop and vote on our favorites! Come and join us every month or as many months as you want.

Sarah Schira’s gnome patterns are available on Ravelry and in her new book, The Gnomes of Grimblewood. Lori will be available to help with patterns as needed. $20 per session.

Knitting 101- Learn to Knit:

Classes will be held at Colorful Yarns, taught by Lori Perrow. The class will comprise of three sessions, each 2 hours. During this course, you will learn about different characteristics of yarn, how to cast on, bind off, and how to make different stitches.

We will make a scarf, on which we will learn various stitches and stitch patterns. The scarf will allow participants to work on the project between sessions and have a finished project at the end of the course.

Materials must be purchased at Colorful Yarns. Please purchase your materials prior to class- the employees at the shop will be happy to help! Materials needed: 2 balls of Encore worsted weight yarn, size 7 straight knitting needles. Additional optional materials: scissors, stitch markers.

Class can be paid for through Venmo: @Lori-Perrow, or a check can be dropped off at Colorful Yarns written out to Lori Perrow. Please reach out to Lori via email prior to paying for class to make sure there is room in the class. Please specify whether you are interested in signing up for the Tuesday class or the Sunday class. Limit 6 participants per class. Ages 16 years + only
